#AbortTheStigma
An annual campaign to normalize conversations about abortion and advocate for access to safe abortions
The online campaign is run in the lead-up to International Safe Abortion Day as well as on March 2 – She Decides Day.
CREA developed the #AbortTheStigma Toolkit to provide rights-based and evidence-based information for activists and advocates to work on the issue to dispel myths and misconceptions about abortion in India and embrace reproductive justice for all. Infographics and many other resources are available to be used globally.

Abort The Stigma Toolkit
This toolkit draws on materials created as part of CREA’s #AbortTheStigma campaign, that seeks to normalize conversations around safe abortion.
In addition, it draws on the curriculum developed for CREA and CommonHealth’s annual Abortion, Gender and Rights Institute.
This toolkit is meant for the broadest possible use by trainers, activists, teachers, front-line health workers, peer educators, community-based volunteers and civil society organizations working on issues of comprehensive sexuality education (CSE), women’s rights, health, gender and sexuality.
